Unlike a traditional battle, this sequence is solved by interacting with the AI’s electrical connection. The encounter can be completed without a direct confrontation if you bring the correct item and use it at the correct location.

The key item is a transparent mug obtained in the Office area. Fill it with water from the office water cooler, then carry it to the AI’s circuit box. The circuit box is plugged into an outlet in the bottom-right corner of the room. Pouring the water directly onto that outlet shorts out the connection and ends the encounter.

The AI shortcut becomes available during the Office secrets route. Before entering the core-related area, make sure the transparent mug is already available. The full secret path begins at the train station, where the telescope reveals a number. Calling that number from the office produces Morse code with the instruction to wait behind the stairs.

This route leads to the inside of The Office’s core generator. The area contains several symbol puzzles. Completing them opens the way toward the core room and progresses the Ending C secrets. The AI encounter follows the broader sequence, so careful item management helps prevent unnecessary backtracking.

The safest achievement method is straightforward: fill the transparent mug with water, locate the AI’s circuit box, and pour the water onto the outlet connected to the system. The action immediately shorts the circuit and ends the encounter without combat.

A third option is connected to the Ending C secret puzzle. That puzzle completes the area without requiring the AI fight, but it is not the correct substitute for players specifically targeting Short Circuit.

If the goal is the achievement, use the mug-and-outlet method instead.
